About the Project
Location: Kalamaria area, Thessaloniki. Area: 135 sq.m. Description: Root Apartment is a full renovation project in Kalamaria, designed to bring warmth, structure, and calm clarity into everyday living. The palette is shaped by greige natural plaster, soft stone textures, warm oak surfaces, and diffused lighting lines that guide movement through the space. The open-plan living area is defined by custom-built elements: the ribbed details of the kitchen island, the stone-clad TV wall, the integrated dining composition, and the sculpted entry bench that anchors the threshold between public and private zones. Light fabrics, wooden blinds, and layered neutrals create a warm urban rhythm, balancing softness with precision. The master bedroom continues the same material language, with full-height textured wardrobes, a floating wooden vanity, and minimal lighting gestures that frame the room. In the bathrooms, stone-inspired surfaces and bespoke joinery form a seamless, spa-like atmosphere — one more space where functionality merges with crafted detail. Every element was designed and built for this project: the wardrobes, the bathroom vanities, the shelving structures, the seating, the kitchen, even the smallest transitions between textures. Root Apartment becomes a calm, tactile home where materials speak softly and the architecture holds everything together with quiet confidence.
