About the Project
Location: Serres. Area: 102 sq.m. Description: Papoulias Bakery is a multidisciplinary design project in Serres that brings together architecture, interior design, branding and print in a cohesive spatial expression. The intervention reinterprets a traditional bakery typology as a contemporary, welcoming place that reflects both the craft of baking and the identity of the brand. The spatial composition emphasizes clarity and material honesty: tactile surfaces, carefully detailed joinery and a thoughtful balance of solids and voids guide visitors through the counter, display and seating areas. Natural materials and subtle textural contrasts create a relaxed, tactile environment that complements the sensory experience of the products. The result is a refined yet approachable interior that celebrates craft, community and everyday rituals — where architecture, design and brand narrative come together as an integrated experience.
